My Story
Raised on a farm near Corrigin, Nelson has always had a strong connection to rural communities and understands the importance of helping people stay active, capable, and doing the things they love.
A passion for sport and movement first led Nelson to study at the University of Notre Dame Australia in Fremantle before life took him overseas. After meeting his now wife, Nelson moved to Kentucky, USA, where he completed a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science and later a Doctorate in Physiotherapy.
After spending 10 years in Kentucky, Nelson and his wife made the move back to Australia and now call Busselton home, alongside their two dogs.
Nelson has experience across a broad range of physiotherapy settings, including paediatrics and neurological rehabilitation, with a particular passion for orthopaedic rehabilitation and musculoskeletal care. He enjoys supporting people through surgery rehabilitation, sports injuries, and everyday aches and pains that impact movement and function.
Committed to ongoing learning and evidence-informed care, Nelson has completed postgraduate training in complex pain management, sports injury recovery, and is certified in the Barbell Rehab Method. He is passionate about continuing to grow his knowledge so he can support an even broader range of people in reaching their health and movement goals.
Nelson is excited to be part of the team at Dardanup Health and Wellness Centre, supporting South West families and community members to move well, recover with confidence, and get back to doing what matters most.
