Chiropractic
Chiropractic care works within the relationship of our bodies joints, musculature and nervous systems. Our modern day lifestyle stresses, both micro and repetitive stress, or larger trauma, nutritional deficits, as well as hormonal or emotional stress and trauma all disrupt the harmonious function of our bodies systems.
Chiropractors aim to improve nervous system function primarily through chiropractic adjustments (with particular attention to the spine, skull and pelvis), to help remove any interference that may be impairing normal health. These adjustments can be obtained in a variety of ways, and are highly specific to your appointment on the day!
Chiropractic also places an emphasis on nutrition and exercise, wellness and healthy lifestyle modifications.
Chiropractors in Australia study for 5 years at university to become qualified and licensed. They are able to assess and diagnose your concerns, and refer you for xrays, ultrasounds or MRIs if further investigation is required.
All chiropractors have a minimum requirement of continued professional development. Our team are exceptionally passionate and committed to ongoing learning and development, so we exceed these minimum requirements consistently!
Manual Chiropractic Adjustments

Perhaps what chiropractors are most well known for, these adjustments are commonly associated with a "crack" which is the separation of a joint space and the decrease of the pressure within the joint space. They are specific and targeted, designed to physically increase the movement available at a given spinal joint, while providing a profound neurological response. The neurological benefits of an adjustment vary from an increased ability to control our body, know where t is in space, and increase strength, to being able to decrease pain and temperature sensitivity they are a powerful maneuver!
For the majority of people these adjustments are very safe, however, our chiropractors will listen to you and ask you questions to determine if they are the right form of care for you, your body, and your neurology!
Activator and Low Force Adjustments

These adjustments can be utilised in conjunction with, or instead of, manual adjustments.
They are primarily used in patients who don't respond well to big manual adjustments, have a condition or restriction that requires more gentle care or just have a preference for a gentle appointment.
The goal is to quickly but gently move a joint through a range of motion in a specific direction.
Dry Needling

Dry Needling is a modality aimed at reducing muscle tension and pain. It can be an effective adjunct to Chiropractic Care. The therapy utilizes very fine needles to target your tissues and creates a neurogenic cascade which reduces your pain and allows your body to heal.
There is no injection of any kind, which is where the term “dry needling” comes from.
While acupuncture is targeted towards meridian lines. Our primary target is the neurological and biochemical responses from your musculoskeletal system, improving your pain and function.
There is scientific evidence to support the use of Dry Needling for pain. (1) (2)
Dry needling is a safe form of care, however with all health care interventions there is some risk involved. Our chiropractors have a high level of training to identify whether Dry Needling is appropriate for you, and to appropriately utilize and modify the treatment to your specific needs.
Pregnancy Care

Pregnancy is an incredibly transformative time for a mum to be's body. Some of these transformations are positive and beautiful, others are annoying at best, and extremely painful at worst.
Chiropractors are able to help your body function at its best through the stages of trying to conceive and all 4 trimesters. Yes, 4! The first three months postpartum are also extremely important for both mum and baby.
Normal and common are two different things. It is common to experience pain, but that does not mean it is normal. The moment you suffer from pain is the moment to make a booking. Ideally we would see each pregnant mum as soon as they are comfortable. There is no time too early to come in for an assessment. If everything is progressing well an initial assessment around 20 weeks is a great place to start.
While chiropractic is safe no matter the stage of pregnancy, we alter how we care for you right from conception, so make sure you let your chiro know as soon as you find out.

Kinesiotaping

Kinesio taping is a therapeutic technique that involves applying elastic tape to the skin to support and stabilize muscles and joints without restricting movement. It is commonly used in sports medicine and rehabilitation to alleviate pain, reduce swelling, and enhance recovery. The tape is designed to mimic the elasticity of human skin, allowing for a full range of motion while providing support. Kinesio taping can be beneficial for various conditions, including injuries, post-surgery recovery, and chronic pain management.
