Pregnancy
We take pride in delivering exceptional pregnancy care at Dardanup Health and Wellness Centre.
Our pregnancy care uses many techniques, and spans across the services we offer.
Pregnancy Care
Our chiropractors and physiotherapists can provide pregnancy care no matter how many weeks pregnant you are.
For pregnancy massage we prefer you wait until you are past 12 weeks.

Often our goal from 0-36 weeks is to help you have the most comfortable and enjoyable pregnancy you can, while setting your body up to be ready to begin labour preparation from 36 weeks.
We have specialised pillows that allow for you to lay facedown, comfortably, for the duration of your pregnancy.
Labour Preperation
As you get to 36 weeks and beyond, the goal of care changes from making your pregnancy more comfortable, to helping your body, and baby, prepare for labour!
We use a variety of techniques, including pelvic balancing, maternal positioning, acupressure, diet and lifestyle advice to help you be as ready for the day you get to meet your baby!
Our clinic use positive birthing language to encourage a positive birthing experience, no matter the type of birth you require, or request.
Many of our team have completed further studies to be best equipped with the knowledge to care for you.
Manual Chiropractic Adjustments
Manual Chiropractic adjustments are safe throughout the length of your pregnancy, however our chiropractors modify the way they are delivered. The combination of hormonal and physical changes, mean that often these adjustments are far more gentle, or some you might be used to receiving aren't utilised at all.
Activator and Low Force Adjustments
Our pregnant bodies are extremely receptive to gentle changes, so many pregnant women find these gentle forms of care to be more comfortable, and extremely effective.
We have specalised pillows that allow you to lay face down for the duration of your pregnancy. So many mums tell us how comfortable it is to be able to lay face down, especially in their third trimester!
Optimal Maternal Positioning
OMP is bringing alignment and mobility within the mother’s pelvis enabling the baby’s cardinal movements to facilitate labour progress

It is a specialised approach that combines care from a practitioner, exercises stretches and movements for mum, partner assisted releases and birthing positions, mum lead positioning for birthing, and maybe most importantly OMP provides information for parents to be able to advocate for themselves prior to, and during labour, to get the most positive outcome from their birth they can.

The OMP principles and protocols can be used in the lead up to, or during your labour whether you are aiming for a spontaneous physiological home birth, medicated birth, or an induction.
